About Kathleen

Kathleen Freeman

Hello friends! I’m glad you’re here. I would love to connect with you! I am a writer and fellow traveler in this beautiful and often difficult world. You are not alone. I too have experienced many of the troubles life has to offer, as well as its bountiful joy.

Beyond novels and novellas, I have a regular Maddie Science column in Clubhouse Magazine. I write a variety of genres because God’s world thrills me. My work, whether Contemporary,  Suspense, or Historical, will have depth, beauty, some quirky fun, and hope. Life is tough.  Yet God is always there, and beauty is an ever-present reminder of God’s goodness. I’m learning to count it all joy.

Weekends you will likely find me paint or dirt-splattered from DIY projects. I love gardening and learning about wild foods, traveling, spending precious moments with dear family and friends, hiking and kayaking. That person you see on the beach or off the beaten path– filled with quirky excitement about some amazing view, plant or animal– that may be me. My son says I take too many pictures. He may be right.

My fondness for Historical Fiction: History is full of trying times. It’s also, as Mr. Roger’s mother says, full of helpers, people striving to make the world a better place. I love that then, and love it now. Those beautiful, broken, and helping people are the ones I write about.
