Yes, I’m talking about eggs.
Some researchers say they are the most nutritious and versatile food in the world, able to make sweet foods, like cakes, as readily as savories, such as egg food young .
Desirable varieties differ from culture to culture, but most seem fond of the chicken egg. Reasons are simple. It’s a convenient size, the hens have a prolific laying schedule, and chickens aren’t big on flights of fancy.
We may never know whether the chicken or egg came first, but it seems likely that most chickens are descended from the red jungle fowl, gallus gallus, and Polynesian travelers could be called the Johnny Appleseed of the chicken.
Joseph Coyle’s convenient egg cartons might have been helpful to the travelers. Unfortunately, he didn’t invent them until 1911– theoretically to solve a broken egg conflict. His invention was so effective that few changes have been made in over a hundred years.
Experts , or should I say egg sperts? say that unwashed eggs, as they tend to be in many countries, will last a couple of weeks without refrigeration. Shell, yolk, and white, the egg has powerful nutrition in each part.
